A last Phantom for the road ... and the sea!
It's official: the production of the Phantom Series II, released in 2003, comes to an end with a highly personalized copy inspired by the Rolls-Royce of the 1930s, but not only.
First Rolls-Royce produced under the BMW era, the Phantom Series II is now dwindling after 14 (!) Years of good and loyal service. But this is only part of the delivery for the British limousine because a new generation is already scheduled for next year. But no question for Rolls-Royce to let the current model go out by the small door: the very last copy has received special attention supposed to make a model tribute to the past of the brand.
Nautical inspiration also on the program
The "Blue Velvet" tint and the white-edged tires are indeed winks to the Rolls-Royce of the 1930s. The specificities of this Phantom are also inspired by the maritime ferrys of the same era. The woodwork thus receives engravings representing a boat sailing on the ocean. The interior also accommodates a marine chronometer capable of adjusting to the 24 time zones according to the location of the car.
Mechanically, on the other hand, no modification is to be reported. It is always a question of a V12 6.75 of 459 hp and 720 Nm. What to bring the Phantom Series II from 0 to 100 km / h in 6.2 seconds.
