Mercedes-Benz GLC 220
"The GLK is gone: the GLC replaces it, gently ..."
In a few words...
The GLK was atypical in the world of SUV: with its angular features outside and inside, it claimed a side "true 4x4" while its rivals away as far as possible in terms of look. The GLK comes to bow: as of October 2015, it will be replaced in concessions by the GLC, little brother of the GLE and big brother of GLA in the new Mercedes nomenclature. Larger than its predecessor, it takes a lot less angular design, less adventurer, and compete more directly BMW X3 and Audi Q5 . And like his big brother the GLE, the GLC will exist in coupe, which will be launched a little later.
Only in 4 wheel drive
Unlike a lot of SUVs available in 2-wheel drive to lower the entrance ticket, consumption and CO2 emissions (including X3 and Q5), the GLC is available only in all-wheel drive, in any case At launch. The range initially includes a petrol engine of 211 hp and two diesel of 170 and 204 hp: everyone is entitled to 4 cylinders and the 9-speed automatic transmission is imposed. But Mercedes has already confirmed the arrival of AMG versions for next year. So you could find a 6-cylinder to a 450 GLC AMG and even a V8 on a GLC 63 AMG: nothing impossible since the GLC rests on the base of the C-Class out our first impressions on board the new Mercedes GLC video .
